Her Dreams and Memories
by Stephen Damon
The candle had blown out
But I was getting used
To seeing in the fading
Light around my friend.
I watched the shadows of
Her dreams and memories
Moving across her face
Then out the window.
Everything seemed to be
Leaving out that window
So I decided to close it
And draw the blinds
But the laws of gravity had
Changed, and nothing I could do
Would keep the stories of her
Life from leaving her behind.
Bows,
Stephen
